The Luminox company was founded in the USA in 1989 with the aim of offering highly durable sports watches with top-notch luminosity and readability, manufactured in Switzerland (and can boast the SWISS MADE label). The brand gained recognition through its collaboration with the American Navy SEALs, for whom it created a collection of watches in 1992, still found in the brand's portfolio today. Since then, more special units have turned to the brand, demanding watches that withstand extreme conditions. Today, Luminox is a global brand found in more than 50 countries around the world and on the wrists of dozens of elite and rescue units.

Its success is attributed to several unique technologies that give the watches their specific characteristics. Luminox Light Technology (LLT) provides unparalleled night visibility thanks to a "self-powered" lighting system that lasts up to 25 years. Each watch is equipped with micro gas lights (borosilicate glass capsules) that always glow.

Other technologies you'll find at Luminox include the completely unique materials CARBONOX™ and CARBONOX™+, which provide countless user advantages to the watches. Both materials offer exceptional case strength due to the stiffness of the carbon mix/fibers, are extremely lightweight, highly resistant to temperature fluctuations, weather conditions, impacts, scratches, and much more. Additionally, both materials have a beautiful surface finish, making them popular not only with special units but also with end customers.

Luminox is also not lagging behind in sustainability, as since 2020 it has been part of the Mondaine group, which is CO2 neutral under the 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas protocols. Luminox, in collaboration with Swiss scientists, has created the #tide ocean material, from which they produce a range of sustainable watches. It is 100% plastic recovered from the oceans, which is further broken down and processed into a new material through sophisticated and sustainable processes.
